Families in Leander, Cedar Park, and the surrounding Williamson County communities have asked for a closer option, and we are glad to answer. Our summer camps have filled quickly all season, so we partnered with Building Kidz of Leander to open a location that is easier to reach for families on the south and west side of the metro.
What makes Tinker Sparks different
Tinker Sparks is not a screen time camp and it is not a daycare with a robot in the corner. Every day is built around making something real. Children work in small groups of no more than 12, guided by instructors who teach the why behind the build, not just the steps.
Across a week, campers move through five domains: robotics, coding, artificial intelligence, strategy, and broader STEM challenges. A six year old might snap together a motorized build and program it to move, while a twelve year old writes text based code to control sensors and solve a challenge. The work scales to the child.
Junior Builders (ages 6 to 10) start with guided block based building and coding. Explorer Coders (ages 10 to 13) move into more advanced robotics and text based programming. Children are grouped so the work is always a good fit.

Discounts for families
Booking more than one week brings the weekly cost down: 5 percent off two weeks, 10 percent off three weeks, and 15 percent off four or more weeks. Enrolling a second child earns a 10 percent sibling discount on the total. Lunch and extended care options are available to add when you register.
Why a closer location matters
If you live in Leander, Cedar Park, or the Palmera Ridge and Larkspur communities, the new camp cuts your drive considerably. A shorter morning run means a calmer start to the day and an easier pickup at 3 PM. The venue offers ample free parking and secure access, and immunization records are required as they are at every location.
Spots are limited by design
Because each group is capped at 12 children, seats at the Leander location are genuinely limited. The earlier weeks tend to fill first. If a particular week matters for your family schedule, it is worth reserving sooner rather than later.
Registration for the Leander camp is open now. Choose your weeks, add any options, and reserve your child's place in a few minutes.
